Professions

There are numerous professions in the world of Galataea, but the ones that are specifically noted to deal with Crystallim are the professions that will be listed. Currently, information for five core professions and one sub-profession is available, but others will become known soon.

  • Breeder - A profession devoted to breeding and raising specific types of Crystallim. Their primary focus is usually to rear high-grade Crystallim so that above average and exceptional Crystallim can be brought into the world more often.
  • Hunter - A profession devoted to hunting down and acquiring Crystallim in the wilds. They hunt the Nightmares to free the girl trapped inside her own mind. Out of all professions, this one has the most restrictions.
  • Researcher - A profession devoted to learning as much about Crystallim and their abilities as is possible.
  • Soldier - A profession devoted to serving a country or an individual. All countries have a standing army, but some small cities have armies as well. There are also so-called Free Companies, or mercenaries who travel from city-state to city-state.It is not uncommon for hunters to group together to form such companies as many of them were soldiers before they became hunters.
  • Trainer - A profession devoted solely to training Crystallim and humans to be their best. While some people take up this profession early in their lives, most become either soldiers or hunters prior to retiring into this profession.

  1. How about a specialist job? Kind of like a gym leader in pokemon :p

  2. That would be trainer. lol. Jack would be an example. :)

Coordinators and all that fall under trainers, though maybe something like a ranger. Not a hunter, not a soldier, they protect a certain area. That could be a specialist sort of job.

  3. Does Bandit count?
    There should be bandits.
I mean, Scott is probably against shooting at the cute monster-girls, unlike some 35-y.o uncle with a VERY bad hygiene and a tendency to disrespect women.

    1. I suppose bandits, poachers, and smugglers would be criminal professions. I would probably lump them all together as 'outlaws' and mentioned that known outlaws have bounties on their head.

Though there could also be mercenary companies that act as privateers, but they would basically sanctioned bandits that attack other countries supply lines and such during war-time.
